All online bingo games use a Random Number Generator, and so there aren’t any magical strategies you can learn to turn the odds in your favour! But here are some handy tips to increase your winning chances and to maximise the fun you have while playing.

Tip 1: Avoid busy games
The more bingo players in a game, the lower you winning chances. Look for a more evenly-balanced game.

Tip 2: Look for higher card prices
Bingo sites that sell cards for more than 50p usually have larger cash prizes!

Tip 3: Stick to one site
Try not to flit between bingo sites. You’ll gain lots of advice and tips from other players when you join a site’s chat room and spend time with its online bingo community.

Tip 4: Look out for bonuses
Many internet bingo sites offer bonuses where you can double the money you’re playing with.

Tip 5: Remember that you can change your cards
Almost all online bingo sites allow you to change. If you dislike the cards you have been offered, make the most of the opportunity to swap them.

Tip 6: Find a site you trust
Always play at a reputable internet bingo site. Check an online bingo reviews page to find information about the best sites around.

When choosing your playing platform, make sure you go with an established reputable provider, such as 32 Red, who were established in 2001 and offer online bingo with a £10 fee no-deposit sign-up bonus.
We hope this information has been helpful. You can now feel confident in the knowledge that you are ready to play online bingo!

If you play online bingo you might find that when the numbers come up they also carry the famous bingo nicknames with them. There’s a call for every number, and whilst some are simple, some are decidedly obscure. Knowing the story behind the nicknames can add to the enjoyment of playing the game, so here are a few of the more unusual nicknames explained.

Number 1, Kelly’s Eye: A reference to the one eyed Australian gangster Ned Kelly.

Number 2, One Little Duck: Describes the swan shape of the number two.

Number 9, Doctor’s Orders: A pill known as ‘Number 9’ was a laxative given out by army doctors in the 1st World War.

Number 10, Gordon’s Den: This one changes depending on the current Prime Minister. Number 10 Downing Street being the tradition residence of the Prime Minister.

Number 22, Two Little Ducks: Same reference as number 2, just twice as many!

Number 23, The Lord is My Shepherd: Refers to Psalm 23 in The Bible.

Number 26, Bed and Breakfast: The traditional price for bed and breakfast in the UK was 2 shillings and 6 pence, which would be shortened to “2 and 6”.

Number 39, Those Famous Steps: From the classic book by John Buchan (and Hitchcock film) ‘The Thirty-Nine Steps’.

Number 56, Was she worth it: Five ‘n’ six (5 shillings and sixpence) was the cost of a marriage license.

Number 57, Heinz Varieties: Heinz, the makers of baked beans, historically made 57 varieties of products.

Number 64, The Beatles Number: Based on the famous song by The Beatles, When I’m 64.

Number 69, Either Way Up: No innuendo here, simply a reference to the fact the six becomes a nine if turned upside down and vice versa.

Number 77, Sunset Strip: 77 Sunset Strip was a cult American TV show.

Number 80, Gandhi’s Breakfast: This is a reference to Gandhi’s famous protest fast. Eight Nothing… or 80… or ate nothing.

Number 88, Two Fat Ladies: A reference to the numbers again, number eighty eight looks like two plump ladies. Players often retort with the phrase “wobble wobble”.

Number 90, Top of the Shop: This refers to the fact that 90 is the highest number in a game of bingo. If you’re thinking of taking a plunge into the world of online bingo then make sure you go with a reputable provider such as 32 Red bingo, who were established in 2001 and have thousands of customers.

Sean A Moronse asked:

Poker, one of the few card games that has gain popularity all over the world in just a few centuries, and which popularity is still growing. Before I tell you all the simple tips you need to know before successfully winning poker games around the table or online, I am going to tell you all the basic things you need to know about poker.

We all know that we live in an age where computers are a very important part of daily lives. With the correct skills and knowledge we can do almost everything from the comfort of our homes thanks to the internet. We can shop for clothes and music, we can hear music or watch movies and television dramas, and we can even order our medicine from the internet. So why should playing poker be an exception? It is not! We can play internet poker in the internet to our hearts content, for free or we can even bid and win money. Losing money is also a natural outcome too. Keep in mind that if you play internet poker the deck will already be provided, all you need is a mouse and your credit card if you are planning on bidding. However if you are going to play with your friends around a table, you will need a four-suit-fifty-two-card deck and some loose cash.

Now I will tell you four tips that can make you a more successful poker player when you play with your friends around an old fashion table. First and most important rule of all, you need to properly place your cards on your hands! If you don’t have a good grip on you cards, not only will it be difficult for you to see all the cards in your hand correctly but you may also show the opponent your cards! This event will most likely cost you to loose the game and your money. Secondly, avoid looking directly in the eyes of your opponent, especially if you are nervous because you are on losing streak and are about to loose again. Thirdly, master your body’s reactions. Learn not to tap your food when you are nervous or excited. Try not became to nervous because when you get to nervous your body produces sweat that can be very noticeable on your forehead, this can be a dead give away, and finally have fun and enjoy. Do not bid more than you can, especially if it is a serious match played among strangers.

Poker, a unique card game filled with fun. It can be played over and over again with out the risk of ever loosing its attraction. Poker, a card game that has its own exceptional language containing more that two dozen words and terms that are a must know for all poker players. Poker is a card game that has grown-up with time. In fact it has develop to such an extent that cheats and outlaws, the original poker player, have been replace with professionals poker players that are shown on television, mention on news papers and magazines, and are as famous as professional athletes.

David C. Reynolds asked:

Some of these tips apply to every destination but since Las Vegas is such a unique and highly popular destination, a primer on what to expect there makes for a great article. These are steps you can take to streamline your visit which should make it all the more enjoyable.

Getting a good air fare is primary. Because Las Vegas is so popular, usually booking at the last minute will cost you much more than booking in advance. However, booking TOO far in advance might cause you to get trapped by the airlines desire to get higher rates until they find they need to lower fares. Traveling on a Saturday is usually less congested in Las Vegas and most fares are lower on weekends or when they require a Saturday stayover, but the offset is that hotels in Las Vegas are usually priced MUCH higher on weekends and particularly Saturday nights than on any other nights. One way around this is to just stay at a motel far off the Strip for Saturday night and avoid the Strip crowds completely that night. Rates for the luxury properties in Las Vegas are presently offered at a huge discount and hotels normally charging $200-$400 per night might be as low as $79-$129.00. Many offer a 3rd or 4th night free on regular rates and if regular rate is $150, this is akin to getting it for $100 per night.

Be careful of Third Party ‘package’ deals. They can save you some money sometimes but generally they offer lower rated, less popular properties and flight times that would alarm a night owl. Like 6:00 am or 11:30 pm. If you are a frequent visitor to Las Vegas, you should be a member of hotels reward programs or at the least, sign up for Players Club type programs at casinos. Their promotions can often save you money for these as well.

Lastly, look into online discount coupons and promotions and show tickets reserved in advance. This may be your only way to score a hot ticket other than dealing with scalpers and you should be aware that the fraud rate for tickets is fairly high in places like Las Vegas and Atlantic City. So you definitely do not want to buy tickets from a guy “at the fountain” who is giving you 30% off.

If you are generally not a big gambler and have all day to explore the town, you might consider a day tour. In summer, you can only spend so much time at the pool in the hot sun and walking the Strip is usually going to have you back in your room exhausted within a couple of hours. Look for Strip shuttles to downtown if you like more pedestrian gambling. For dining, even if alcohol is free at casinos, restaurants are usually expensive so what you save on one hand comes out of your other pocket eventually. Buffets are usually recommended for budget travelers but many of the better buffets are as costly as restaurants. You should check out delis in hotels for hot dogs and pizza (for the kids of course) and for less expensive but filling pastas and sandwiches.

These travel tips should save you money and stretch your vacation dollar just a little bit further.

Dennis Lauritsen asked:

These “cautions”, “tips”, and “tricks” are offered to help make your Las Vegas Vacation as enjoyable, fast and easy to plan as possible. Whether this is your first trip to “Fabulous Las Vegas” or you are a veteran, you’ll find some useful tips and tricks here.

Las Vegas Travel Tips: First and foremost, the biggest mistake many travelers to Las Vegas make in planning a trip is to book the cheapest air fare/hotel package “available anywhere”. These are offered everywhere from your hometown newspaper to television ads to especially, e-mail spam. Beware!

Why? A Cheap Las Vegas Vacation is good, we agree! BUT, did you know virtually all Las Vegas Hotels have 2- 3 levels of room quality (or options)? Now, we mean even many of the five star, “big ones” many of these are just plain substandard rooms, maybe with a nice view of the air conditioning system! (This actually happened to me personally, and was it Loud!)

Things like older bed mattresses, no safes, old decorating, long walks to the casino, restraunts, shows, or even a taxi. Did you know there are monorail trains running right behind some of the rooms? How about a roller coaster right outside your window? And lots more. Just remember “cheapest” is just that. Ask at the front desk at check-in exactly where your room is, look at it before signing in if possible.

We aren’t pushing for only high dollar rooms here, just get the best quality room your budget will allow, you will be very glad you did.

Why book your Hotel first? Las Vegas is booked up an average of 94% year round, so plan ahead (at least 30+ days is recommended) to get the exact days you want, where you want, room quality you want. Plus, usually it’s less expensive to book well in advance. Did you know that Sunday through Thursday is less expensive? When you get your selected Las Vegas Hotel booked, then you can book a flight to fit the days in and out to fit YOUR schedule.

Makes sense doesn’t it?

Once you get your Las Vegas Hotel booked first. Then you can book the Las Vegas Shows that you want, when you want. Be sure to check to see if your particular show choice isn’t “dark” on your selected days. Holidays are a good example of dark days.

Then book your Las Vegas Tour. (If you have never experienced the thrill of a Helicopter Ride at night over “Glitter Gulch and Downtown”, or a daytime trip over the Boulder Dam and Grand Canyon this is something you will never forget!) It isn’t as expensive as you might think! Check our tours links for prices and times.

This is the entertainment capital of the World, so allow yourself enough time to take in as many attractions (dozens are free) as possible, it will make your Las Vegas Vacation much more memorable. If possible, book an extra night stay just to allow for a special Las Vegas Tour or a day of Las Vegas Golf.

Las Vegas Gambling Tips:

Gambling is the lifeblood of Las Vegas. You didn’t really think those billion dollar hotels were built by “winners” did you? Set a daily budget for gambling and stick to it! You do have a good chance at winning. Hundreds if not thousands of “Hand Pay Jackpots” are paid every day. Be careful though, those chips, tokens and ticket-in/ticket-out seem too much like “play money” they are not they are your real money! Stick to your budget! Did I say that already?

Get a “players card” everywhere you go and use it, or if you are a “table player” ask the pit boss to “rank” or “rate” you. They will track your play and comp you accordingly with all kinds of free stuff. Such as meals, rooms, clothing, limos, gift shop points and even cash. These really help put the odds in your favor.

Seems like my “budget” is always too small, but try your best to set a reasonable daily goal and stick to it, don’t tap into tomorrows budget! Just maybe you’ll walk away a big winner! It happens every day. Remember the phrase: “Walk away when ahead”!

It’s not my place to preach, but here are some very useful Las Vegas tips on handling your money. All that cash in the casinos you see everywhere attracts some pretty shady characters (read Crooks!) Security is excellent, but there are always a few, and it just takes one to ruin a perfect vacation.

Las Vegas Security:

Ladies, bring or buy a small purse with a neck strap or waste pouch, or fanny pack, something that is comfortable enough to keep on your person all the time. Never ever set your purse on the floor or next to a machine, or on a stool next to you. This is a magnet for thieves! Keep that strap around your neck.

Most thieves work in pairs, one to distract you, the other to snag your purse. Just a couple types of distractions they use are: one will drop a coin or dollar bill or two near you on the floor and ask you “is that your cash on the floor?” while the other grabs your stuff, or overly talkative “players” will sit down next to you and jabber to get your attention, while their partner grabs your stuff, or hits the payout button and walks away with your ticket. Believe me. This does happen. They are very slick and fast, so just be aware.

When you do accumulate a couple winning tickets, hide them in your wallet or purse until you are ready to cash them in, and then stash the cash. Remember the “walk away” tip?

Men: It isn’t degrading to wear a waste pouch. Okay, if you just don’t want to, then fold your bills and keep them in your front pants pocket. If they “pickpocket” your wallet with all your credit cards in it at least you’ll have your cash, or vice versa, just keep them seperated. And, watch those tickets.

If you do hit a good size jackpot, take the money to the safe in your room or take it to the Hotel desk for safekeeping. Or, ask for a Security escort to your room or car. They are happy to provide this service. Don’t walk around the casino or streets with a big wad of cash!

The Security at all Hotels and Casinos is excellent. With all those thousands of cameras (Eyes in the sky) every inch of the casino is being taped continuously. (Did you know that Nevada law requires casinos to have this level of security?) It is for your protection as well as the Hotel/Casino.

Now please understand, we are not trying to scare you away here, but rather just make you aware! It is real easy to get caught up in all the flashing lights, noise, overhead shows, people watching and normal distractions of a casino. Just don’t give them an opportunity to ruin your fun.

Follow these Las Vegas Travel Tips and they will make your Las Vegas Vacation a lifetime memory.

This article may be reprinted in its entirety for use, but must include this link to

http://www.lasvegas-discount.com

David Leek asked:

If you like to play poker, it’s likely that you play no-limit Texas Holdem. After all, it does seem to be the most popular game, these days. If you want a real challenge, though, you should try switching to limit Texas Holdem. Here are some limit tips to get you started.

First of all, resist the urge to get involved in too many pots. It’s easy to do because it costs next to nothing. However, remember that, when there’s a limit to what you can bet, there’s a limit to how much you can win. To use simple numbers, if you lost a dollar a hand for 10 hands and won a dollar on hand 11, you still would have lost nine dollars. That’s why it’s still important to be picky, even with cheap pots.

Second, remember that a lot of limit hands that you do play are likely to go all the way through to the end. So, you should only play those hands that you’re willing and able to protect to the end. It’s very unlikely that you’ll get anyone to fold the hand and give you the win by bluffing them off cheap pots. They’ll call if for no other reason than to keep you honest.

Finally, as with any poker game, remember that limit Texas Holdem is about reading your cards and knowing the odds, but it’s also about reading the people that you’re up against. If you think a person is bluffing, you may be able to take advantage of that. If you think they aren’t bluffing, you may be able to minimize your losses by getting out of the hand.

Sagbee C asked:

Bingo is one game people across all ages could dream of playing. Add to this the vast and diverse group get to play with when online and you know there could be no better way to have a gala time and make a few bucks too! But one thing you have to be prepared for is that bingo is mostly about luck. It does not matter how many games you have played before since there is no strategy that can surely win the game for you.

The game was first played in the 14th century in Italy. Since then it has enjoyed the love of all those people who love to try their luck every now and then so they can enjoy the pleasure of winning a some money in their free time.

If you want some tips that could help you win in spite of the odds, just read on:

Tip 1: Smaller Crowd for a Better Game

Remember that at the end of the day, bingo is all about luck. The greater the number of players, lesser are your chances of winning. So join a group that has neither too many players nor just a handful of them.

Tip 2: Choose the Cards Right

Once you decide to play bingo online and while buying the cards, choose ones which cost a minimum of twenty five cents. The others will offer very less cash prize in return and may not be worth your time!

Tip 3: Interact with Others

There are many players like you who love to play bingo online and have made many newsgroups and clubs. It is a good idea to network with them when you want to pick up some tricks of the trade. With way too many websites offering online bingo, you may not be able to keep tab of them all, so such groups could always tip you on the best to enjoy your game.

Tip 4: Find the right websites

If you want to experience fun in the true sense as you play bingo online, take time to inquire about genuine websites that you can play your game at. There are many websites which only claim to be genuine but you will find yourselves deprived of your money when you win your games and this can be extremely disheartening and spoil the fun of the game. While some websites will mention free bingo no deposit, the others may want you to keep aside a deposit before you begin playing your game. Decide which suits you best even before you start off.

Tip 5: Take a break when you need it

Know when to stop as you play bingo online. While there are days that you may win almost all the prize money, there are yet other days when luck simply does not favor you. If you have been losing every game you play, make sure you take a break and resist the temptation of yet another try. Taking some time off may change the situation and lead you on a winning spree.

Kimber Chin asked:

I don’t gamble so I often get asked why I visit Las Vegas at least once a year. The answer? The free attractions make Las Vegas a frugal traveler’s paradise (and we’ll save the dining discussion for another article). Almost every casino has some sort of freebie gimmick to attract gamblers. In this article, I will cover, what I consider to be the must-see’s to give tourists a flavor of Las Vegas.

The Fountain Show At Bellagio

With nightfall comes the fountain shows at Bellagio. In the massive pool of water on the Strip side of the casino, illuminated spirts of water dance to a variety of music, popular, classical and even opera. They usually operate every 15 minutes (check with the casino to ensure), with a different song and show each time.

Sirens Of TI

Every night, in front of Treasure Island on the Strip, a battle takes place between sexy sirens and renegade male pirates. There are usually four identical kid friendly shows nightly. Get there early for best viewing (especially if you are vertically challenged). Stand close and you could get a bit wet.

Circus Circus Shows

Approximately every half hour in the Circus Circus casino on the Strip, there are free yet world class midway acts including jugglers and trapeze acts. I stayed for three shows and all three were different.

Freemont Street Experience

Las Vegas is more than the Strip. Situated in the heart of downtown, the historic Freemont Street Experience is a pedestrian walkway, covered by what they bill as the biggest big screen on the planet. There are street performers, vendors and every night at multiple times, a light and sound show.

Ethel M’s Chocolate Tour And Botanical Cactus Garden

Want to get away from the Strip yet do something free? Check out the Ethel M Chocolate Factory (One Sunset Way). A must for chocolate connoisseurs (I have purchased chocolate from all over the world for my Mom, her favorite is Ethel M’s), there is a self guided tour, free samples, and products for sale.

Outside there is the Botanical Cactus Garden with over 350 kinds of cacti, succulents from the local area and around the world (also free admission).

Note: There is an Ethel M’s at the airport if you are concerned about chocolate melting (check hours of operation as every time I go, its closed).

There are many, many other free attractions in Las Vegas. Attractions that are changed often to ensure the city remains fresh, exciting and a frugal traveler’s paradise.

Peter Sandler asked:

It’s important to keep in mind that Las Vegas is smack dab in the middle of a desert; thus, dry and comfortable, warm and dry, dry and hot; the keyword is… dry. It’s so easy with “dry” to become dehydrated so be sure you drink lots of water and take some with you. When you go into a casino and ask the bartender to get you a glass of water, they may shake their heads and wonder what you are thinking. You certainly don’t want to die of thirst before you actually find a water faucet to get your water.

Consider walking the strip length, as there is much to see and enjoy. However, you need to understand that the buildings at the end of the boulevard are huge, which makes them look close enough to get to. Your eyes can play tricks on you so it’s important that you know the actual distance from place to place.

Miles calculated from south to north:

Flamingo to Treasure Island -.8
Mandalay Bay to Tropicana -.8
Riviera to Sahara -.6
Sahara to Stratosphere -.2
Stardust to Riviera -.3
Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay – < 4.0
Treasure Island to Stardust -.5
Tropicana to Flamingo – 1.0

If you want to get a great workout, then you’ll want to go from the Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay to get it.

What To Wear When You Walk In Las Vegas

While Las Vegas can get hot during the summer, the heat is dry. Yes, a 100 degree temperature is hot no matter which way it’s described. However, walk into any casino and the temperature is going to drop awfully fast. Thus, you’ll need to get creative when it comes to the clothes you wear. You certainly don’t want to wear a sweater when you go outside and you don’t want to wear tank top in a casino; to make it even… wear a light jacket in the casino and carry it with you when are outside.

Whatever you do, never forget the sunscreen. Regardless of the time of year you visit, you need to bring it along with you. If are visiting during the winter season, you’ll want to bring along some winter clothes. You may not see a lot of snow but the thermometer will drop and when it gets cold and the wind picks up, the “feel like” thermometer can drop even lower, faster.

Be Safe When Walking In Las Vegas

When you’re walking, you’re going to notice a lot of traffic along the strip. Las Vegas drivers won’t slow down until they come upon a crosswalk. If you decide to “jaywalk”, a fatal accident could occur. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled out for cars and use the pedestrian walkways whenever you can at the busy intersections; city officials have placed more of these out to reduce the potential danger.

Just remember that walking around in Vegas gives you a bit of flexibility, which means you can walk into any casino anytime you want, put down the money and leave… a winner. Above all else…be sure you drink lots of water.
